Founder & Director
Walter Peter is the Founder and Director of LaaPoLaa TIE-INDIA. He is the Pioneer in spreading the concept of Theatre-In-Education across the country.
He has worked as the Actor-teacher in National School of Drama's Co. from 1994 and was associated with them till 2002. He is visiting faculty for TIE-Wing Tripura and Mass Communication, Gujarat University. He is a TEDx Speaker, Theatre Practitioner, Artist Educator who uses drama as a toolbox to bring change for children, social workers, teachers and parents.
As a writer, he has written plays like "Alipur Ka Azzad", "Child Lock", "Shri Krishna: The Spirit of Karma", "Bairak Pur Se Laal Quila", "Bharat Ki Shaan Gujarat Se", "Kissa Khul Jaa Sim-Sim", "Ram Gaatha", "All for Sole", "Gautam, The Budhdha", "Mira" and many more.
Peter's name occured in Limca Book of Records and he is India Book of Record Holder. On International platform, his play "LaaPoLaa" participated in Tula Russia and he won the Best Actor Award at GingerFest, Russia. His play "Ram Gaatha" was a part of Red Apple International Festival, Sri Lanka. Recently, he is also a part of Story Maker's Hub in Leeds Backett University.

Born in Uttarakhand, Ms. Sita Peter is the Co-Founder of LaaPoLaa TIE-INDIA.
She is a generous and multitalented person.
She worked as a Coordinator in Delhi Government's Habib Tanvir Festival organised by 'Sahar Organization'.in 2004
She participated in the play named "Agra- Bazar" Directed by Habib Tanvir.
Kathak Dance is her passion and she is learning it from Kathak Guru, Ms. Richa Jain.
As a wonderful life partner of Walter Peter she always stands next to him in his life journey. The couple married in 2003.
She is a homemaker and a fantastic motivational source for Children, Youth and Community.
Since 2003, she is part of Peter's workshops and productions and taking care of backstage, costume, makeup and coordination.
As an actress, she acted in Ram Gaatha, Khul Ja Sim Sim, Baddy Land, Peace - Piece 1930, Ali Pur Ka Azad and Prithivi Abhi Baaki Hai in Green Theatre Festival Udaipur. She has also been a part of production in International Children Theatre Festival NEEPA 2007, Jashn-e-Bachpan 2010 and 2016. For play "All for The Soul " and "Laa Po Laa Children's Voices" and participated in ITFOK in 2017.

Mr Dhruv Desai is the Managing Director, LaaPoLaa Tie India. By Education, he is a Mechanical Engineer, but now following his passion for drama and theatre. Creating the opportunity across the nation by Managing end-to-end aspects of Creative Processes by design thinking methodology.
He is also a founder of Monk Media One, A full-service agency wherein he develops and executes digital marketing strategies, redefines content to raise brand awareness, and encourages brand loyalty.
His core expertise lies in Internet Commerce, Electronic Marketing, Online Brand Management, and leading brainstorming sessions, campaigns, creative brief development as well as directing creative execution.

Ms. Sangeeta Malik is the Ex- Director of The Wonder Years Play School and Kunj Skating Academy, Vasant Kunj and Co-founder of Nai Disha Educational and Cultural Society, New Delhi.
For more than 20 years, she has been in the field of social change and serving underprivileged children and community.
She is not only the well-wisher and nurturer of Laa PoLaa but also a foundation stone for us to spread the idea of interactive participatory concept in LaapoLaa.
Since 2006, she has been a part of this journey and has always supported, guided, motivated and has always stood next to our founder, Walter Peter.
Ms. Sangeeta Malik translated LaaPoLaa's play "Child Lock" in English which was a part of the International Theatre Festival Organization by NEEPA in 2008. She was a part of LaaPoLaa's production team play "All for Sole'' performed in the International Children Theatre Festival named "Jashne Bachpan" (2010).

Amit Shekhar
Amit Shekhar is CSR Leader and qualified professional with 17 years long experience of Social Impact initiatives, Peace Building process in South Asia, Disaster Resilience, Government Policymaking, etc.
He is driven with passion for creating sustainable change for under-priviledged sections and commitment towards the cause of ensuring child rights. Mr. Shekhar is blessed with a deeper insight in identifying root causes of problems and innovative vis a vis creative approach for making a change for all such groups and individuals who need a helping hand to get into the path of real empowerment.

Dr. Asha Singh
Formerly, Associate Professor in Delhi University, Dept. of Human Development and Childhood Studies. Presently Guest Faculty at Azimpremji University and Ambedkar University. Also Former Director, Education & Research, Galli Galli Sim Sim (Preschool Television in collaboration Sesame New York)
She has been in a mixed arena of professional workspaces looking at children growing up in different contexts from 1974 beginning from being a student volunteer with the Mobile Crèches (an organisation working with underprivileged children) exploring children's thoughts through drawings, dialogue and movement. She has also done ethnographic study of children of the weaving community in Varanasi as well as the farming community in the villages around the Terai region in North India. This experiential understanding of childhood contexts has strengthened and enriched the communicating of theoretical aspects of growth and development of children with students, teachers or parents. Dr Singh us also an avid advocate of Theatre in Education and has close ties with TIE at NSD

Chandresh ji, also known as Manav ji, is an eminent personality responsible for creating the Alternative Education System.
He has been working in providing Music Therapy and Art Therapy in the field of education. He is also an esteemed member of the Unfolding Learning Society.
Apart from all, he is a nature lover who believes in spending most of his time amongst the bounties of nature. His personality is calm, peaceful and nature- praising.

Shuba
Mr. Shuba is an Arts Education Advocate, a storyteller and a drama in education expert who specializes in action-based drama workshops
with children and adults, especially teachers and teacher educators,
on personal development. He is one of the most eminent personalities of Theatre. He has been a member of different committees on theatre and arts with NCERT.
He has been working In theatre and drama for over 20 years. Drama
and theatre for creative and social development have been one of his
core areas to work on. He is the founder and director of Purvabhyas
Theatre Delhi. He is also the founder and director of the Online School of Drama.

Saurabh Goyal
Saurabh Goyal is a seasoned Global Product and Operations Leader who has been employed with Google for 16+ years. He has extensive experience of working in United States, Canada and India markets in global roles across Product Strategy & Operations, Sales and YouTube.
Saurabh Goyal is also closely involved with the Startup Ecosystem. He is an active Angel Investor, a Mentor to multiple Global startups and a Limited Partner with 2 Venture Capital Funds in the US and Europe
Saurabh is passionate about Theater in Education and the impact it can have on the community once it can be deployed effectively at scale.

Dr. Pawan Sudhir
Dr. Pawan Sudhir has a Work Experience of 32+ years of Teacher Education in different capacities. She has been a part of National and International projects like being the Project Head of 'Art Integrated Learning' (AIL) of NCERT, Delhi, concept leader of the project AIL which is running in more than a million schools of 28 states in India. The program is being extended to 42 million teachers of the elementary stage under the NISHTHA program of MoE, Govt of India as ‘Pedagogy of Joyful and Experiential Learning’.
She is the Chairperson of the India Toy Fair (ITF-2021) Committee, a Govt of India initiative to promote indigenous toys and games in education, Adviser CBSE Guidelines on Art Integrated Education for schools, National Convener 'Kala Utsav' a unique initiative of MoE, Govt. of India, to showcase and nurture the artistic talent of school students in the country. The programme was launched in 2015 by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Mentor and Cultural Coordinator of the Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme for Gifted and Talented Students, ‘DHRUV’. The Programme was launched by the Hon’ble Minister of MoE, Govt of India in September 2019.
She is the National Consultant, UNICEF on, 'Situation Analysis of the Education Sector response to HIV-AIDS in India’, study was funded by the World Bank, 2007, State Project Director of Yuva Life-skills Education Program, Directorate of Education Delhi, from 2006-2009, National Editor of UNESCO/ InSEA WEB-Project: International survey on Quality Practices in Art Education in Formal and non-formal sectors 2003-2004.

Manish Saini
Mr Manish Saini is one of the most eminent personalities in Theatre. He started his career in theatre about 30 years ago. During the emergent period, he worked with pioneer theatre personalities like B. V. Karant, Tripurari Sharma, Berry John, Abdul Latif Khatana, Maya Rao, Kriti Jain, and Feisal Elkaze. This exposure played a key role in providing a strong and creative base to the whole theatre career.
Born in Delhi and had a Master in Education. Worked as Actor and Teacher with Sanskar Rang Toli (TIE Co.) of National School of Drama for six years from 1995-2001[complete full term]. He has done PROCESS AND PRODUCTION ORIENTED workshops with CHILDREN, Teachers, PARENTS, college-going students and Educators.
Mr Saini has conducted more than 100 workshops like with NSD Theatre In Education. He has worked with NSD TIE and Extention Programme in North-East[SIKKIM, ASSAM, MEGHALAYA, TRIPURA] and has done various programs in Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, etc. He has been the Master Trainer at Red Ribbon Express, a project of NACO, NYK, Rajeev Gandhi Foundation. He has worked with different NGO’s like VHAI, AIF, Save the children, Butterfly, Dipalaya, Salaam Balak Trust, Baal Muktiashram, Basti Vikas Kendra, Alaripu, JAGORI etc.
He is a Visiting Faculty in Theatre-in-Education TIE Wing Tripura, Agartala, the Aditi Mahavidyalaya University of Delhi for B.EL.ED, Maharshi Valmiki College Of Education, the University of Delhi for B.Ed, North-Eastern Hill University[NEHU] TURA Meghalaya. “A Concept: - Theatre in Education” in BENGALURU CHAPTER. He has done Project Work related to children and youth. His fellowship stands with Junior research fellowship by the Ministry of culture on ‘Teaching -Theatre in Education and Children Theatre’.

Yogesh Raval
‘Hriday’ is the brainchild of Shree Yogesh Raval that he has developed through research of 15 long years.
After completing the bachelors and masters in Arts, he got trained as a trainer in creative teaching techniques and school administration from ACT – Bangalore. He is also trained to integrate emotional intelligence and values in education from Germany.
He has experience of over 30 years in the field of school education. He was instrumental in designing and developing Atmiya Vidya Mandir.
He also established Prarthana School (CBSE) in a rural area near Vadodara. He is a founder partner of Blissful Being. He has designed ‘Prarambh’ - students’ planner.

Robert Peter
Mr Robert Peter, a born actor and a father-figure for Walter Peter started theatre in 1968. He is not only the elder brother but also the first inspiration of Walter Peter. He has done about 40 plays till now out of which Ji Huzoor, Kalakar Ki Khoj Mein and Chaar Paapi Ek Insan stand as prominent ones. He has also acted in the film "Khol Do", which is an adaptation of Manto's story. He is retired from the Government Department Of Atomic Energy.
Robert Peter has worked in Blue Star Club and various other communities like Mahaveer International, Child Care India and Sarthak. He has a great experience of working in theatre and mime. He has also been awarded the Best Actor Award and 1st Prize in Overall Performance in All India Atomic Energy Cultural Meet 1989.
Apart from that, he has worked for social change by working for the welfare of animals, birds and unprivileged slum children.

John Mee
John Mee is based in Leeds Metropolitan University. He is a Freelance drama practitioner, Creative Education Consultant at West Yorkshire, now Leeds Playhouse, and co- creative director for Alive And Kicking Theatre Company. John is a qualified teacher and experienced lecturer who has worked with early years, throughout the primary and secondary sectors, in further and higher education and as a freelance drama practitioner with a background in producing touring theatre throughout Europe. He has promoted touring theatre in many Leeds venues and created the Studio Theatre venue for Leeds Metropolitan University, now Leeds Beckett University.
He worked with teachers, theatre companies, community health professionals, with slum improvement consultants, NGOs, young offenders, collaborated with actors, writers, artists, designers and musicians.
He has been creating education programmes for over a period of 20 years. He has been an employee and employer as well as being elected a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts.

Nashy Chauhan
Mrs Nashy Chauhan, esteemed Director of Anand Niketan Group of Schools is an accomplished academician with a penchant for versatility and breaking open new frontiers. Her predilection for scholastic knowledge and methodologies to improve and accelerate education practices was nurtured abroad. In her 40 years of experience in imparting quality teaching, she has been instrumental in establishing schools all over the length and breadth of India and currently the Anand Niketan Group of Schools continues to flourish under her able Directorship.
She believes that our future growth lies in innovation, skills, productivity and thus she passionately conducts teacher training workshops at various places to achieve higher pedagogy by creatively implementing ingenious strategies in areas of curriculum, leadership and teacher education.
A strong believer in building meaningful relationships, she continuously networks with researchers and scholars not only in the academic field but with pioneers from different practices whose approaches towards science, technology, literature stand as an inspiration and help to shape and advance classroom policies.

Dr. Yogesh Tiwari
Master in Philosophy and Research in Philosophy. Taught Philosophy for a few years.
Deeply interested in deeper aspects of life. Quest for Truth took me towards the J. Krishnamurti's Philosophy.
Keenly interested in holistic education of children, specially underprivileged children.
On an invitation joined Krishnamurti Foundation India, Varanasi and explored deeper questions of life and served for 15 years Krishnamurti Foundation India, as Director of Rural Education Programme.
Keenly interested in World Literature and various forms of visual and performing arts and incorporating these art forms to educate the children.
Several research papers on philosophy, culture, and articles on burning social issues have been published.

Kartik Abhas
Kartik Abhas has been working with EKLAVYA organization from 1989 and has Operated Library in Block Parasia District Chhindwada. He has also Worked voluntarily in Block Parasia District Chhindwada. He has facilitated Science training programs (by managing science kits), and established PITARA (Marketing of one stop education stores). He has facilitated different workshops conducted for the children & teachers.(planning & coordination) and in different National Book Fair & World Book Fair.
He has operated a Library in Ujjain, facilitated different workshop like: Child activity, storytelling, theater etc., formed a Youth group & release newsletter. He has worked as consultant in Room to Read India Trust (MP), has successfully implemented library project in Khalwa block of Khandwa District, Madhya Pradesh, conducted and facilitated training for Library Point Teachers and Head Teachers of project schools, successfully organized phase out events and hand holding process. Now he is the facilitator for LaaPoLaa TIE-INDIA.

Devinder Kumar
Devinder Kumar met Walter Peter at the age of seven in a CRY project area. He participated in various Workshops conducted by Walter Peter for CRY. He also acted in more than 10 plays directed by Walter Peter. He has been a student of NSD TIE COMPANY. He has done Sunday Club part-1, 2 and 3.
He is a proud team member of LaaPoLaa TIE-India. Devinder is a part of LaaPoLaa’s band named “VOICE OF LAAPOLAA”. The band writes, composes and performs the songs for childhood, child rights, child sexual abuse and for social change.
He has performed in Udaipur World Music Festival (organized by SEHER-feb 2019) and in International Theatre Festival JASHN-E- BACHPAN for children, organized by NSD. Under supervision and guidance of Walter Peter, he has worked with NGOs like CRY, APR and Childfund India, performed in Khilta Bachpan campaign for Child-fund with government school children, worked and performed in Child Festival of CRY with children and teachers in International Youth Centre, Delhi.
He assisted in TIE workshops with Peter sir for the Children of slum area in Nangloi and Faridabad. He has worked on themes like Child Rights , Child Education , Women Empowerment and creating a social awareness by LaaPoLaa TIE workshop, one month LaaPoLaa TIE workshop to the Bal Bharti School in Allahbad all being a part of LaaPoLaa TIE-INDIA.

Niyati
Niyati is a founder and storyteller of StoryBox by Niyati, she has a YouTube channel too. A professional storyteller who loves to explore the world of storytelling through performing and writing as well. Music and theatre elements are an integral part of her storytelling. A lifelong learner who is always ready to learn. A creative educator who was a former teacher trainer and a soft-skill training who brings innovation in Education and also have won an award for the same. Niyati has a purpose to spread stories to keep the oral tradition alive.

Pramod Maithil
Mr. Pramod Maithil, a teacher, researcher and entrepreneur, has contributed to conceptualization and implementation work of well-known organizations in the past 20 years; Educational research, Textbook development, Teacher Training with Eklavya (NGO) and Teaching Science and Math at Sahyadri School (KFI).
He had started an innovative school in Bhopal named Anand Niketan Democratic School (ANDS). ANDS was a non-conventional school, attempting to develop the democratic education model to achieve inclusion in schools and create a pedagogical alternative for elementary school education. After three successful years of ANDS, he documented the learning journey in a book named ‘School for My Child’ by Partridge (Penguin). He is also an author of an action research paper on mathematics education in Episteme 4 and a TEDx speaker (at IIITDM Jabalpur). He has won REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship and
KarmaveerChakra(BronzeMedal) Awards.
Now he is the facilitator for LaaPoLaa TIE-INDIA.

Farman
As a student of NSD TIE COMPANY, Farman has done Summer Workshop, Sunday Club part- 1, 2 and 3.
He is a proud team member of LAAPOLAA Tie- India.
Farman is a part of LaaPoLaa’s band named “VOICE OF LAAPOLAA”, where he is the leader of the band. The band writes, composes and performs the songs for childhood,child rights, child sexual abuse and for social change.
He has performed in Udaipur World Music Festival (organized by SEHER-feb 2019) and in International Theatre Festival JASHN-E- BACHPAN for children, organized by NSD. Vivek Krishnan
Vivek is an active theatre enthusiast and a media person. He has written and produced multiple plays since his school days.
He also happened to meet Walter Peter during this time and started his journey of theatre in education with him as a student, then assistant. He has followed Walter in many of his journeys and has been a part of Laa Po Laa since its inception. He has facilitated TIE activities and has also conducted workshops for students, teachers & parents.
He is presently based in Hyderabad training the students in Visual Effects.

Indu Punj
Ms. Indu Punj is the founder of Stories Matter. She is a teacher trainer and counsellor with over two decades of experience in the field of teaching. She was Director Teacher Training at Katha. She is also the Ex-DPS International Educator.
She has trained primary teachers from government and MCD Schools. She was also responsible for developing educational web content for primary age groups. She also led Deloitte world-class project and also was Content Development Head for B.T ( British Telecommunications ) project.
As an educator, Academic Coordinator, Tour Coordinator and many, she has held positions of utmost responsibility that required team management, leadership abilities and communication with various teams in the organisation.
She has also conducted workshops on issues pertaining to guidance and counselling and psychological problems observed among school children.

Pooja Kanodia
Ms Pooja Kanodia is an Organisational Psychologist by qualification and a painter by heart.
How so ever both psychology & painting aid her life, self reflect her passion & enhance her journey here. She is also a Gold medalist.
Being a mother to a beautiful soul named Hitarth, she has bettered herself in the forte of kids development. All her playtime with him has garnered the experiences that helped her immensely to work with/for kids using both her interest in Art & Psychology by designing/conducting workshops that integrate motor skills and cognitive thinking. It largely enhances leadership traits, team building and ownership in children.
Taking a step forward, Kanodia's willingness to set a foundation that primarily identifies education as a tool and invests in resources that will benefit in creating value-based safer societies for all at large has eventually made her the founder at Aashay foundation.

Sunil Sharma
Sunil Sharma, a devotee to Folk Theatre, and Children Theatre, started his creative journey with Mr. Walter Peter in childhood as an associate and a friend.
He has 20 years of experience in working as a theatre teacher at various institutions.
He has participated in the National School of Drama's TIE Company in 1997 and has been an active member of the Sunday Club too. He is trained under the guidance of Barry John as he was a student of his Acting School Imago. He has been a part of Bal Natya Utsav, festival organized by CRY India and Jashn-E- Bachpan, a festival organized by the N.S.D. and various other festivals.
He has also done various plays out of which Buddy Land (Dir. Walter Peter), Aur kitne tukre (Dir. Kirti Jain, N.S.D. Alumni)
AURANGZEB ( Dir. KS Rajendran), Mere Aine (Dir. Manish Saini) stand as some examples. He has also acted in the movie named "The Warrior" by Asif Kapadia.
He has worked with Naval Public School, TIE India , Mobile Creche, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan School, Adharsheela.
Various workshops in the field of Theatre in Education have been conducted by him. He is also a visiting Faculty for NSD TIE Company.

Mr. Harry Upadhyay is a well known light designer and director based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He has participated in National and International festivals like Tana Riri festival and Kuchch festival.
He has been a part of NSD festivals, working with Nimesh Desai, Aditi Desai and more. He has done light and designing in various play-way programs, concerts, etc. Camera, architecture, films and theater have been his main working areas for which he says "We used to work there 24 hours."
He has done various important plays. Khul Jaa Sim Sim, Shri Krishna: The Spirit of Karma, Ram Gaatha, Jhansi Ki Rani, Bairakpur se Laal Quila are some of the plays he has done with Walter Peter. Its been more than 15 years since when Mr. Harry and Sir Pater have been working together.

Ankit Patel is a well known personality of Theatre in Gujarat. He has been working in sound engineering and background music for the last 30 years. His profession comes as a result of the profession of his father. He carries on the legacy of his father, Lt. P. Tushar, who himself was a well known Gujarati Theater personality.
Ankit Patel has worked with Shri Vipul Shah in his first Friends Theatre Group. Here, He began with various Children Play's and he gave background music to more than 100 shows of which "Do Duni Paanch", "Sakhna Re Jo Raat" , "Hu Jo Maro Vidhata" and '' Laali - Leela" stand as prominent ones.
Ankit Patel has worked with Chetan Gandhi, Vivek Shah , Aditi Desai, Hardik Shah, Kamal Joshi.
Ankit has given background music in sound effects to more than about 500 plays . He has been working with Walter Peter since last 15 years and has worked for various plays of LaaPoLa TIE like "Khul Ja Sim Sim", "Bairakpur Se Laal Quila", "Bharat Ki Shaan Gujarat Se", "Colour My Wings" , "Allure My World", " Gautam The Buddha", "Dharohar" , "Shri Krishna, The Spirit of Karma" and many more.

Mr. Prateek has created shows for Aanand Niketan Shilaj, Anand Niketan Mehsana, Kumkum English Medium School, Muktjivan Vidhyalaya, Hiramanek English medium school, Nalanda Vidhyalaya, Anand Niketan (Kaprada)
He has been working with Kumkum English Medium School for the last 15 years and with TIE since the last 10 years.
He is the Founder of SARJAN ARTS in 2009 and has won many trophies of city and state level competitions. He has also worked with corporate shows, Vodafone India, Airtel, Max Life Insurance, Huawei. He is an asset to LaaPoLaa TIE-INDIA.

Praveen Jain is a dramatherapist, registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) UK. He is trained in dramatherapy at the University of Roehampton London. He has worked with children and adults with ASD, disabilities and mental health in social care, SEN school and National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, where he offered group and individual drama therapy sessions.
He has enriched his repertoire by practicing theatre for more than two decades in India, where he wrote, devised and directed plays with children and youth and acted in many plays. He studied Theatre-in-Education (TIE) at National School of Drama (NSD) and worked with children, teachers, youth and adults using process drama in different settings including schools, colleges and NGOs.
He has experience and knowledge of different fields including, films, screenwriting, theatre direction, and performance studies. He holds masters in multiple disciplines including Journalism and Mass Communication, Hindi literature, Performance Studies, and Dramatherapy that gave him a nuanced understanding of society and culture. He is multilingual and has a good understanding of cultural diversity in India that makes him aware and mindful of the influence of culture a client can have.

Ms. Jennis is a literature enthusiast and a passionate young writer. She has been writing since the age of 10. She serves LaaPoLaa TIE-INDIA as its Business Development Manageress (BDM).
She has studied at Delhi University and her pursuit and love for Literature stands evident in her personality. By profession, she is a teacher and by passion, a person who weaves words together to bring out the beauty of the inner-self. She has been associated with eminent youth movements like SPIC-MACAY and has the experience of serving as the Gender Champion. She has coordinated 'n' number of events, workshops and lectures as a part of Delhi University. She is an ardent learner and knowledge seeker.
